A wall of rocks along the west coast, defends the old town from the awesome sea. On the east extreme of the wall rises the Church of the Madonna of Angel, built in the VI century. Within just few years, the rock-wall has became an open-air art gallery, where visitors can therefore enjoy an unusual and enchanting "artistic walk". 

Every summer famous sculptors from all round the world take part in "Scogliera Viva" competition and carve beautiful sculptures on massive Eugenean trachyte rocks.
